Gion Festival Exclusive Stay

Witness Kyoto's greatest festival from a privileged vantage point, steps from Nijo Castle.

At Garrya Nijo Castle Kyoto, the Gion Matsuri becomes something more than spectacle. From exclusive reserved seats within a private historic venue, watch the magnificent Yamahoko procession in the company of Geiko and Maiko — an encounter with living tradition at its most intimate.

Share photographs and conversation, then pause over a traditional Shojin Ryori lunch rooted in centuries of Buddhist practice. A festival experienced not just seen, but felt.

Afterwards, return to the quiet that defines Garrya — the presence of Nijo Castle, the stillness of the garden, and the simplicity of a space designed for reflection.
